Congregation Shaarey Zedek

Congregation Shaarey Zedek is a historic synagogue in Southfield on the corner of 11 mile rd and bell rd. The venue regularly hosts iconic events including concerts by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and many private and corporate affairs. Shaarey Zedek has a capacity for up to 1500 guests. Quality Kosher Catering has been the exclusive caterer at Shaarey Zedek since 1981 and we always feel privileged to work in this beautiful space.

The majestic sanctuary at Shaarey Zedek has a presence that few structures have both from the outside and the inside. Whether it's a service for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah or a ceremony for a wedding, there are few places that offer the beauty and feeling that this sanctuary has.

Behind Shaarey Zedek, there is a wonderful pavilion that can be used for many different events, a beautiful grassy area with a forest backdrop that is just perfect for a ceremony, and even a playground for the kids that can't sit through dinner. The grounds offer a haven from the highway just on the opposite side of the building.

Shaarey Zedek boasts two large social halls each capable of seating 750 guests, a grand foyer perfect for many uses, and a multitude of smaller rooms if your crowd is on the smaller side. The spaces offer the opportunity to design an event that perfectly suits your tastes and style.
